High Expectations
I love Toast! On my first trip to Charleston you really made my palate happy. I never had the experience of "low country" cooking until now. You have put high expectations for anything else that I ever try. I was in Charleston for 4 days, ate at several resturants but didn't go a day without eating Toast. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was inviting.

We recently had our Wedding in Charleston at the Planters Inn on 25 April 2010. Toast of Charleston came highly recommended for their Mimosas. Hands Down...Best Coconut Cake
Ok so we were starving and it was raining, no reservations anywhere (never a good thing in Charleston). Ducked into Toast and got a little table in the bar. WOW! Loved it.
Great service, just what we were looking for in the lunch department: Soup, crabcakes, sandwich, salad. BUT the topper was the coconut cake. This is hands down the best coconut cake I have every eaten. My friend who usually does not eat cake, inhaled half of it in two seconds. Oh my goodness, I wish I had a piece right now.
